Cosmetic genital surgery: labiaplasty and phalloplasty
Labiaplasty and vaginal rejuvenation are surgical procedures sometimes considered when labial anatomy causes physical discomfort, irritation, or hygiene concerns. Labia can naturally vary in shape, size and symmetry. In some cases, surgery may be an option based on individual needs.
Phalloplasty, or penis enlargement surgery, may be considered by men seeking to address functional concerns or anatomical variation. These procedures are assessed on a case-by-case basis, with a focus on realistic outcomes and medical appropriateness.

What is labiaplasty?
Reasons for a labiaplasty procedure
"Asymmetry in the labia is common and varies widely between individuals. Labiaplasty may be considered in cases where physical symptoms or irritation occur and non-surgical options are not effective."
Are you considering labiaplasty for physical symptoms or personal concerns?
"During our consultation, we can review available data on anatomical variation and talk through whether labiaplasty may be suitable in your case."
How is labiaplasty performed?
"There are two common techniques used in labiaplasty. The ‘Trim Procedure’ removes a small section of tissue along the edge of the labia minora. The ‘Wedge Procedure’ removes a V-shaped segment from both sides. We’ll explain both options during your consultation and discuss which approach may suit your needs."
Recovery after labia reduction surgery
Following surgery, it’s common to experience swelling and mild discomfort, which usually improves over the first few weeks.
Dissolvable sutures are used and typically dissolve within three to four weeks. The incision is placed within natural tissue folds to support discreet healing
"Following labiaplasty you can usually go back to work after a few days. I recommend abstaining from sexual intercourse for a few weeks following your surgery."
Phalloplasty or penis enlargement
What is phalloplasty surgery?
Types of penis enlargement
Penis enlargement procedures aim to alter the visible length or girth of the penis. In lengthening surgery, the suspensory ligament may be divided to release a portion of the penis from inside the body. In girth enlargement, dermal fat grafts or fillers may be used. Expected results vary and will be discussed during your consultation.
Increase penis girth
-
Surgical option: To increase girth, a graft of dermal fat may be taken from the abdomen or thigh and positioned under the skin of the shaft. This technique will be discussed in detail to determine if it’s appropriate for you.
-
Non-surgical option: Injectable fillers can be used to temporarily increase girth by adding volume to the soft tissue. These are placed beneath the skin and results vary depending on your anatomy and the amount used.
Other reasons for cosmetic genital surgery
Pigmentation disorders on genitalia: you may have vitiligo on your penis or vagina, a skin condition that causes spots or patches to lose melanin (resulting in white spots or patches).
Moles and cysts on your genitalia
Scar revision on the penis: you may have had previous surgery, or you may have injured your penis. Scar revision can be done to create a more natural appearance and restore function.
Episiotomy: women who have given birth may have had an episiotomy, a surgical cut during childbirth to enlarge the opening of the vagina to deliver the distressed baby quickly.
