Summer BAPRAS in Bristol

Mr Jeremy Rawlins is tremendously proud to support his registrar Mohammed Farid at the  Summer meeting of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) in Bristol later this month.  Mohammed will be presenting the experience of teaching and mentoring general surgeons in burns surgery in Northeastern Tanzania.  For the past 4 years Mr Rawlins and a multinational team (predominantly from the UK) have been visiting Moshi, Tanzania and helping to develop burncare to East Africa.  With a custom built burns unit, increasing teaching and training, and a greater understanding of the importance of early burns surgery, Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) is poised to become the centre for tertiary level burncare in Eastern Africa.
